About
Defne Ergin

Defne Ergin is a creative rooted in digital marketing, with a portfolio that spans content design, brand strategy, and copywriting. Her work lives at the intersection of strategy and storytelling: campaigns that don't just look polished, but are built to convert.

Her perspective is shaped by a multicultural lens, moving fluently between Turkish and American cultural sensibilities, which shows up in her ability to write copy that feels personal and specific rather than generic and market-tested. She doesn't write for "everyone." She writes for someone.

As a Digital Marketing Specialist for a small business, she grew Instagram reach by 692% in just under 7 months. As Project Collaborations Coordinator at The Fashion Foundry Consulting, a Chicago-based fashion marketing firm, she was the bridge between independent designers and the business tools they needed to be seen. She also worked behind the scenes on a live fashion show, the kind of high-pressure, detail-critical role where things only look effortless because someone made sure they were.

As a current Brand Representative for Initio Parfums Privés, she works daily in luxury fragrance. For the past eight years, she's also run her own vintage e-commerce business – sourcing, pricing, marketing, and selling with her reputation on the line the entire way. Her longest running campaign.

She holds a degree in Marketing with a concentration in Digital Marketing from DePaul University, graduating on the Dean's List all four years, with Google Ads Search and Google Analytics certifications.
